Because vitamin B12 can divide red blood cells (erythrocytes), it ensures that there are twice as many red blood cells, which can supply all your organs with oxygen. The number of tubes of blood required differs per test. For example, one tube may be filled with fluid (anticoagulant), whereas the other is not. It differs per test which tube is needed. With the tube with fluid, which ensures that your blood remains fluid, the plasma can be examined. With the tube without fluid, your blood coagulates, allowing our experts to examine the serum of your blood. So, it varies with each test how many tubes of blood you need to fill, in order for our experts to give you the most reliable results.
Read the manual that comes with your test carefully. Still not sure? Read our online manual or watch the instruction video!
If you suffer from a congenital or acquired blood clotting disorder, or if you take anticoagulant medication, you should consult your practitioner before using the test to avoid bleeding.
